Le bouc a trois pattes

Miss Piggy Blues

Miss Piggy Blues is a natural rosé wine produced by Wim Wagemans of Le Bouc à Trois Pattes, located in the Languedoc region of France. This light and elegant wine is crafted from a blend of Muscat à Petits Grains Rosé and very old Cinsault vines, some approximately 100 years old. It offers a vibrant bouquet dominated by the aromatic intensity of Muscat, featuring notes of exotic fruits and floral undertones. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with a delicate balance and a smooth finish. Serve chilled at 10–12°C to fully appreciate its aromatic nuances and refreshing palate. Miss Piggy Blues pairs excellently with light appetizers, seafood dishes, or can be enjoyed on its own as a delightful aperitif.

Wine Profile

🌍

Terroir

The vineyards are situated in the Haute Vallée de l'Orb, near Mons-la-Trivalle, characterized by rugged terrain and diverse soils, including gneiss, granite, and shale. This complex soil composition contributes to the mineral nuances of the wine. The elevated position of the vineyards ensures cooler temperatures, which help preserve the grapes' natural acidity and aromatic qualities.

Winemaking Process

Wim Wagemans employs a natural and minimal-intervention approach to winemaking. The Muscat à Petits Grains Rosé and Cinsault grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a short maceration period to extract color and flavor gently. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in fiberglass tanks, allowing the wine to develop its unique character. No sulfites are added during the vinification process, resulting in a pure and authentic expression of the terroir.
